More than a book, a piece of art in itself.

Each limited and numbered edition of this piece of art includes a specially designed number 23 basketball that opens in half, like the famous Fabergé eggs, where it hides a treasure: a book that tells the story of the golden era of the Chicago Bulls of the 90’s, when they won their 6 NBA rings, led by Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

This exclusive and limited BLACK AND GOLD EDITION consists of only one thousand art pieces numbered by a metal plate in the display case containing the basketball along with the book, as well as a certificate signed by the publisher.

Each basketball, with number 23, comes inside a clear display case, which allows you to place this little gem anywhere in your home, office… And at any time you can open the case and take out the book from the basketball to read and enjoy the anecdotes and statistics that led the way to get the six rings, written by a journalist, specialized in the golden era of the Chicago Bulls and basketball fan himself.

The Prologist

When I received the manuscript the first thing that struck me was the title “Chicago Bulls, the immortal dynasty”. I made use of my memory and remembered other dynasties in NBA history that, in principle, could be as immortal: that of the Minneapolis Lakers – before moving to Los Angeles – during the early years of the professional league, when they won the championship 5 times between 1949 and 1954. Even that of Showtime, already in California, in the eighties, when the Lakers of Magic Johnson, Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy, won 5 titles guided by Pat Riley could be considered another immortal dynasty, although Larry Bird’s Celtics were not far behind in that decade, winning in 1981, 1984 and 1986. Immortal dynasties…? Boston Celtics, for example. No less than 11 titles, eight of them in a row, between 1957 and 1969. Those were the years of Bill Russell, probably the most complete center in NBA history, Bob Cousy, John Havliceck and other Hall of Famers who dominated the league during the 1960s. Why, then, are the aforementioned dynasties of the 1950s or 1980s Lakers or 1960s Celtics less immortal than that of the 1990s Bulls? For starters, there was no salary cap in the NBA until the 1984-85 season… …Indeed, the Bulls, who won titles from 1991 to 1993 and from 1996 to 1998, are an immortal dynasty that is unlikely to be repeated… …As a correspondent in the United States for the weekly magazine Gigantes del Basket, from 1987 to 1997, I had the privilege of seeing this group of extraordinary players in action many times, including the first three finals. Reading this book, in which the author has done an exhaustive research of statistics and statements of players and coaches, I have relived those years, immortal for me undoubtedly, with great satisfaction… …That dynasty that began to reign in the NBA 31 years ago and did it 5 more times in the next 7 years is definitely immortal. If not immortal, it will surely be unrepeatable or it will take quite a few years to see a team accomplish that feat.
